Day-by-day breakdown of your desert adventure
Marrakech to Dades Valley via High Atlas & Ait Ben Haddou
Depart Marrakech early morning and begin your journey across the High Atlas Mountains. The drive takes you through the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m), offering breathtaking views of the mountain landscapes and traditional Berber villages clinging to the hillsides.
Your first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most famous kasbahs and a popular filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Explore the ancient clay buildings and learn about the history of this important caravan stop.
Continue through the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and lush palm groves. Overnight in a traditional kasbah hotel in the Dades Valley.

Dades Valley to Merzouga - Camel Trek & Desert Camp
After breakfast, continue your journey through the Todra Gorge, where towering limestone cliffs rise up to 300 meters on either side. This is a popular spot for rock climbers and offers a stunning photo opportunity.
Drive through the desert town of Tinghir and across the vast, rocky plains towards Merzouga. As you approach, you'll see the first glimpse of the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes rising in the distance.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, leave your main luggage at the hotel and prepare for your camel trek. Ride camels across the dunes as the sun sets, painting the desert in shades of gold and orange. Arrive at your desert camp where you'll enjoy a traditional Berber dinner around the campfire, followed by stargazing in the clear desert sky.

Merzouga to Marrakech via Todra Gorge
Wake up early to witness a spectacular Sahara sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, enjoy some free time to explore the dunes, visit a nomadic family, or try sandboarding (optional).
Begin your return journey to Marrakech, retracing your route through the dramatic landscapes of southern Morocco. Stop for lunch in one of the towns along the way and have time to explore the Todra Gorge if you missed it on the way out.
Cross back over the Tizi n'Tichka pass and descend towards Marrakech, arriving in the evening. Your driver will drop you off at your accommodation, concluding your unforgettable desert adventure.
